I have a duroc cross sow that is around 5 months old and about 100 lbs. When will she be old enough to breed? Does she have to weigh a certain amount before I breed her? I think of her more as a pet. I live on a farm and it’s either breed her or sell her. I don’t think I could kill her for food. I trained her to sit for treats and she’s extremely friendly. I’m only going to breed her so I can get some of my money back for what I paid for her and keep her.
